ROE V. WADE

Octavius appeared in the 2021 film Roe v. Wade as pro-choice attorney Cyril Means. Directed and produced by Nick Loeb and Cathy Allyn, the film documents the landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision and the many figures with complex points of view who were involved.

Octavius was drawn to the role of Cyril Means because the character is not only multilayered, but has a unique point of view among the many perspectives the film highlights.

The film tells the story of the battle between Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a pro-abortion doctor who later became a pro-life activist and Dr. Mildred Jefferson, the first African-American woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School. Director and producer Nick Loeb portrays Dr. Nathanson in the film while Stacey Dash (Clueless, Mo’ Money, View from the Top) stars as Dr. Jefferson.

The film also features Academy Award winner Jon Voight (Midnight Cowboy, Deliverance, Coming Home, Heat, The Rainmaker), Independent Spirit Award Nominee William Forsythe (Raising Arizona, Once Upon A Time in America, Boardwalk Empire, The Waterdance), Robert Davi (The Goonies, Die Hard, License to Kill), Jamie Kennedy (Scream, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Malibu’s Most Wanted), and Steve Guttenberg (Cocoon, Police Academy, Three Men and a Baby, Diner)

The film was shot in Louisiana and Washington, DC, and is executive produced by Tory Duhan and Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Coverage of the film has appeared in The Daily Mail, The Chicago Tribune, NY Daily News, The Hollywood Reporter, The Huffington Post, and Vulture.

Director, producer, and actor Nick Loeb also spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the film, its inspiration, and how his own personal experiences led him to make the film.

The film Roe v. Wade had its worldwide premiere on Friday February 26, 2021 in Orlando, FL.
